Sandy Shaffer, DB
Sandy, partner and founder of Invest Southwest (iSW), has been a real estate professional in Arizona since 1993 and is currently the Designated Broker. She holds designations of Certified Commercial Sales Specialist (CCSS), Graduate of Realtor Institute (GRI), and Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE). Prior to founding iSW, Sandy was with Arizona Commercial for 9 years of her 25-year career. She has a background in finance and is a former small business owner.
Her expertise goes well beyond real estate. In addition to her certifications she has Mediation Training through the office of the Arizona Attorney General, is a highly trained and skilled facilitator, a graduate of Prescott Area Leadership, actively involved with various chambers and a long-standing member of Toastmasters, mentoring communication skills to others.
Given her depth of experience and knowledge in real estate and her strong commitment to community, Sandy believes teambuilding and communication skills are critical components of success in all sectors of the commercial real estate world.
Mary Jo Kirk, CCIM
Mary Jo, partner and founder of Invest Southwest (iSW), is a veteran in commercial brokerage encompassing the multifamily, office, retail, land and industrial sectors. Her expertise includes investment consultation, marketing, detailed financial analysis, site evaluation and selection, lease review and negotiations. Mary Jo holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation (CCIM) through the CCIM Institute, Chicago, adding to her strengths and depth in representing her client’s interests.
Prior to founding iSW, Mary Jo was with Arizona Commercial for more than 13 years. She also brings with her a nine-year asset-management and sales background from the Southern California real estate market where she held positions with the Asset Management Division of California Federal Savings & Loan as well as with private developers. She holds a degree in advertising design and for 13 years prior to her commercial real estate activities served as founder and principal of an award-winning nationally and internationally recognized marketing firm based in Prescott, Arizona. Her well-developed business sense and technical knowledge together with her depth of understanding of the commercial real estate processes place Mary Jo in a very unique position to provide extraordinary service and bottom-line results to her clients.
